Art Class

Fairville’s Art Class gives children the opportunity to experience many mediums beyond, and including, paint and clay. In a fun, nurturing environment, students learn about perspective, interpretation, and other principles of art. For young children, the learning that takes place during the process of creating art is usually more valuable than the creation itself, and in this way the class stays true to the Fairville philosophy while cultivation each child’s love and understanding of art.
Young Scientists Class
Mondays & Wednesdays

Young Scientists Class offers an exciting opportunity for children to explore and experiment with the forces for our natural world in a safe and appropriate setting. Through fun, hands-on activities, children will examine what makes something float or sink, how gravity works, the properties of solids, liquids and gasses, flight patterns of paper airplanes, and much more.
Nature Class

Nature Class is spent mostly outside on Fairville’s 2.5 acres. Plants and animals are discovered and recorded then changes are discussed throughout the year. The class has its own special spot in Fairville’s garden, which students plant, tend, and harvest. Students also create pictures and sculptures with artifacts they find in nature, such as dried leaves, twigs, and mud. Respect for the earth is fostered throughout the year, incorporating the Quaker tenet of stewardship of resources.
Fun Fridays

Fun Fridays is a fun, hands-on class that incorporates indoor and outdoor play with a variety of topics throughout the year. Topics include cooking, theater, gardening, how things grow, construction and building, and art to name a few.
Stay and Play
Available Mondays through Fridays
1:00 – 3:15 pm
$840 per day a year/ $36 per day drop-in available
Stay and Play is a great option for a child who would like more social time, stories, games and indoor and outdoor play without adhering to a structured curriculum. On Fridays Stay and Play may join the Fun Fridays class.
AFTERNOON ENRICHMENT CLASS 8-WEEK SCHEDULE COMING SOON..
Semester payments for yearlong enrichment classes will be due August 1, 2012 and December 15, 2012. Payment in full is due for 8-week sessions prior to beginning of session.
